Deluxe Moon

I can testify that knowing when there’s a full moon is pretty useful when you’re on walking on an unlit, country road at night. I had grandparents and I would spend time on their farm as a child, so I did a bit of  walking underneath the moonlight. In the past I would rely on a calendar to know when a full moon was coming up. Nowadays, I don’t have to rely on such old-fashioned methods.

What I can do now is turn to software for help. The software that can help in this situation is the Lifeware Solutions-developed and appropriately named Deluxe Moon app.In a quite good looking interface, this app provides you with a lot of useful information about the Moon. Here’s what I’m talking about:

- Detailed information on the current Moon phase, based on your location (uses GPS or cellular network to determine your location automatically; you can also manually set your location). You can also see past and upcoming lunar phases. To change the date you need only swipe the Moon horizontally. The app also tells you when the next lunar phase will begin.
- The app features a Moon compass and Moon azimuth.
- The app can tell you when the Moon will rise and when it will set. It also tells you when the zenith is. You can set timers for these events.
- The app tells you the names of all Moon phases, what percentage of the Moon is illuminated, how far along the Moon is in its cycle, the distance between Earth and the Moon, Moon elevation, and so on.

Apart from the extensive information about the Moon, the app also provides you with a bit of Moon-based gardening and astrology information which can be useful if you’re into gardening and/or zodiac signs. It will give you gardening advice based on the Moon’s current phase and it will provide some Moon horoscope info as well.

A lot of useful info about the Moon, all wrapped up in a beautiful interface- that’s what you can expect to get from the Deluxe Moon app.
